Faculty Assembly and Board of Trustees Meeting 2021

Dates, Times and Location

We will be holding our annual Board of Trustees meeting and Faculty Assembly for 2021 via Zoom. This is possible due to some special provisions of the German government to allow virtual meetings of the association through the end of 2021. The Board of Trustees meeting will begin on Saturday, 30 January 2021 at 08:30 and conclude in the afternoon.

Faculty Assembly will take place from Monday, 1 February 2021 to Wednesday, 3 February 2021.

For the opening day on 1 February we will have the following:

  • Starting at 15:00 hours on the half hour we will be having cluster meetings. Please see the schedule for the specific cluster(s) in which you teach.
  • At 19:00 hours we will conclude the day with a worship service with Revd. Dr. David Graves, GS, and with the Inauguration ceremony of our new Rector by Revd. Dr. Klaus Arnold.

Faculty Assembly will end on Wednesday evening, 3 February 2021 at 18:30 hours. (all times are CET)

Registration Deadline

You should get your registration in as soon as possible but no later than 15 January 2021. This will allow us to plan for the sessions.

By Invitation Only: EuNC Board of Trustees members, General Administration employees (LT members, CC members, other General Administration coordinators/assistants), and EuNC Faculty.

Video Conferencing Venue

With the unknowns about the trajectory of the pandemic and the travel restrictions, we have decided to do things differently this next year. The Faculty Assembly is an important event where we get together for fellowship, training, and information exchange. We do not want to lose that. So, we will have our Faculty Assembly using the virtual delivery platform of Zoom. Please keep the dates set on your calendar so that you can attend, but you won’t have to travel this year.

The meetings will be conducted in English.

Devotional Speakers for Faculty Assembly

We will have some special guests who bring the message to us over the three days:

  • Revd. Dr. David Graves, General Superintendent
  • Revd. Jim Ritchie, Regional Director
  • Revd. Dr. Stan Rodes Administrative Director, Global Clergy Development

Faculty Training Speaker for Faculty Assembly

EuNC Faculty Development – Wednesday afternoon, 3rd February 2021

Pedagogical training for teachers of theological education with the title “Dialogue as an Educational Tool” by Revd. Dr. Svetlana Khobnya, teacher at EuNC and NTC.

The topic is very relevant for educators and administrators in terms of methodology, style of communication, and the formation of the community. Be prepared to think together and participate in an interactive training.

I’m passionate about theological education that’s committed to academic excellence, and which supports students in understanding and applying their faith.

Preparation for the Meetings

We will provide breaks for refreshing ourselves. You may want to stay in the Zoom with video and audio switched off. Feel free to disconnect and reconnect for longer meal breaks.

On Tuesday evening, we will have an informal fellowship time scheduled that all are welcomed to join. We are open to trying different things to allow some of that interaction to happen that we will be missing by not being in-presence. If you have any creative ideas for this time, please email Revd. Gideon de Jong at gdejong@eunc.edu.
